Cuban Crafters Contraband Toro cigars are naturally sweet, creamy and full of flavor. After smoking these delightful Toros you will believe that they are contraband cigars from Cuba, but we assure you that they just taste that way. Cuban Crafters Contraband Toros are handcrafted Puros produced with extensively aged Cuban-seed Habano tobacco from Nicaragua. The premium wrapper is a natural Cuban-seed Habano Criollo leaf and so is the binder. The opulent long-filler is a combination of extremely aged and flavorful Cuban-seed Habano from Esteli and the Jalapa Valley of Nicaragua.
They are hand made the same old-fashioned way as the finest cigars from Cuba. They have a long pigtail cap, a folded foot and perfect construction. Contraband is for the sophisticated cigar smoker who knows quality and expects it from every single cigar. These medium to full bodied works of art provide smooth, opulent notes of sweet cream, mild baking spices, nuts and floral undetones. Toros are 6 inches long with a ring gauge of 50.
When we created these cigars, after tasting this savory blend of extensively aged tobaccos, we kept getting the same remark from all those who smoked the samples, "...is this a contraband cigar from Cuba?" While it took years to age the tobacco, and to blend it to perfection, we still did not have a name for them. Just about everyone who had smoked the samples kept calling and asking us if the "contraband" Cuban cigars are for sale. That convinced us to name them CONTRABAND. Don't think it was easy. Our own trademark lawyer, after smoking one, called us to be reassured that these cigars were in-fact not contraband cigars from Cuba. Even the attorney from the United States Patent and Trademark Office requested that we submit a statement swearing that they are not Cuban contraband.
