The CAO Vision started off with earth and floral notes, backed up with copper and short-lived red pepper on the palate. The retrohale had stronger cedar and short blasts of wasabi spice. The first third continued on with an earthy core, highlighted by sweet floral notes and ample pepper spice.
CAO has released only 2,500 boxes of the CAO Vision, a limited-edition cigar that features a Cameroon wrapper and luminescent packaging similar to the highly rated original which was released in 2007. The new CAO Vision is a completely different blend than the originals, which had Dominican wrappers. The new CAO Vision consists of a Cameroon cover leaf, Ecuadoran Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan filler from Estelí and Jalapa. The blend delivers a medium spice profile with a pleasant natural sweetness coming from the Cameroon wrapper, both working together delivering a balanced enjoyable smoke. Each illuminated 20-count box also doubles as a functioning humidor.
