The follow-up of the 95-rated Blackened M81 is here! Blackened S84 Shade to Black is another collaboration from Metallica’s James Hetfield, Blackened Whiskey’s Rob Dietrich, and Jonathan Drew. Sure, following up on a highly-rated cigar is no easy task, but Drew Estate has done it.
Loaded with rich, maduro tobaccos from Nicaragua and the US, Blackened S84 Shade to Black is not your grandfather’s Connecticut. This medium-bodied blend is a bit stronger than a typical Connecticut. The Ecuadorian-grown wrapper is seamless and smooth while providing a creamy note to the robust and chocolaty core. Whiskey is the obvious choice for pairing, but a strong espresso will work too.
